How to Find Vehicles
Copart has several ways to search through the 250,000 vehicles on the site daily. Enter descriptive terms into the search bar at the top of your screen.
Vehicle Finder: You can use filters in our Vehicle Finder to narrow your search by vehicle type, odometer reading, year range, damage type, make, model and location.
Vehicle Alert: If you can’t find what you’re looking for in our inventory, you can set up a Vehicle Alert, and we’ll notify you by email and/or text (US numbers only) when vehicles of that type enter our inventory.
Watchlist: If you want to bid on a vehicle later or just keep an eye on it, add it to your Watchlist. It will then always appear on your dashboard when you login. We will also send you an email the day before the vehicle goes up for auction.

How to Buy a Car
Use Necessary Licenses or Bid and Buy Through a Broker
How you can buy a vehicle depends on the laws in the state in which it is located. Some states require special licenses, while others allow members of the general public to buy. If you don’t have the necessary licenses or credentials, you’ll need to bid and buy through a Broker, which Copart can help you find.
Join Auction
Bidding during a live auction is the most common means of buying a car on Copart. When you log in, click on Join an Auction to see all of the live auctions. You can also automatically bid by setting a maximum amount and having the Copart bid for you. You can also bid head-to-head in real time against other bidders all over the world.
Buy It Now/Make an Offer
If you don’t want to bid, some vehicles have a Buy It Now/Make An Offer option. You can pay the seller’s asking price or make them an offer. If they accept it, you win.
Pick Up Your Vehicle or Schedule Transportation
When you win, you can pick up the car yourself, send a transporter to pick it up, or have Copart ship it to you. You can use the Transportation App to schedule a pickup and generate a digital gate pass.
