Review the photos on our website or mobile app
As you're searching vehicles, scroll through the 10 images we provide for each vehicle. Then view the vehicles details to determine:
- Title type
- Estimated repair cost
- Odometer reading
- Damage type
- If the keys are included
Enroll in AutoCheck
Copart has partnered with Experian’s AutoCheck to give our Members a great deal on available clean title vehicle history reports. For only $50 annually, you get unlimited reports on all vehicles that have AutoCheck. These reports give you access to information about:
- Previous accidents
- Serious past damage
- Odometer history
- Former uses, such as rental, lease and fleet
- Loans on the vehicle

Buy an instaVIN Report
Another option for researching a vehicle’s history is the instaVIN Report, which includes:
- DMV title data
- Insurance total loss records
- Vehicle specifications
- Junk and salvage events
- Open lien status
Again, the instaVIN will appear in the Downloads section of vehicle information pages. Reports start at just $6.99 each. Buy two and get one free!
Preview vehicles in person
Licensed Members may visit any of our locations to preview vehicles up for auction Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Public Members should contact their location to determine preview days and hours. Members can preview at no extra cost, but nonmembers must pay $20 USD and also must be accompanied by a Member. Avoid the preview fee by joining Copart today.
Hire a third-party Inspector
Unable to preview vehicles yourself? Contact an independent professional to inspect vehicles on your behalf.
Purchase a Market Guide Report
For $10 per report, you get insight into valuable information such as:
- VIN decode
- NADA values
- ProQuote results
- List of comparable sales
Look for the "Market Guide Report" link in the Downloads section of any vehicle information page. It will appear for only those vehicles that have a report available for purchase.
Use a VIN with another service of your choice
While we offer many convenient ways to research vehicles, the VINs we provide can also be used elsewhere. If you have a preferred service for getting vehicle history reports, feel free to use it. We want you to be as comfortable as possible with your potential investment!
Guidelines & Rules for Inspecting Vehicles in Person

All visitors should be alert and aware of loaders and heavy equipment operating at all times.

Safety vests and closed toe shoes are required at all times.

Buyers are allowed in designated sale rows only.

Inspection is limited to vehicles currently listed for sale.

Tools of any kind, including diagnostic code readers, are not allowed in the yard. See a staff member if you need assistance with a vehicle.

As a safety precaution, please do not attempt to start a vehicle without a Copart employee.

Vehicles cannot be test driven.
