Copart sells all of these vehicles and more in our online auto auctions, and you’ll need to be either a Basic or Premier Member to bid. Basic Members can bid up to $2,000 total without a deposit. To bid more, you’ll need to make a deposit of 10% of the total amount you plan to bid. So if you want to make $20,000 in total bids, you’d need to make a deposit of $2,000.

To raise the total amount of active bids you can make, you can register for or upgrade to a Premier Membership. This requires a one-time deposit of $400 and enables you to place bids totaling $100,000 per day. A Premier Membership gives you more buying power.

Many of the Members who participate in the Wholesale Auctions at Copart are business owners who resell the auctioned cars, trucks & SUVs at their dealership, export vehicles overseas and resell, or dismantle the vehicles to sell the parts.

Copart is a private wholesale auction platform with Member Terms and Conditions. Anyone can see vehicle inventory on our website, but to bid and buy, register as a Business or an Individual Member:

• Business: You hold state licenses, like a dealer, dismantler, or exporter, and buy for business purposes.
• Individual: You have no professional licenses and buy for yourself. In this case, your vehicle selection will be limited, and you will only be able to purchase vehicles listed in the "No License Required" category.

If you prefer to bid on vehicles at locations near your business so you can inspect or pick up vehicles yourself, you can filter your search for a wholesale auction vehicle by location. You can also find a Copart location near you from among our 220 auction locations in North America.

One way Copart Members find great deals is by setting a max bid on a vehicle they are interested in. Max bids let you set your top offer for a particular vehicle and step away. Our bidding system will incrementally bid a preset amount just enough to keep you in the top spot, so you get the best deal.
