Increase Your Buying Power
Gain an edge over the competition by increasing the amount you can bid
Tired of putting down deposits? Upgrade to Premier Membership today.
To buy and bid with Copart, you must first be a Basic or Premier Member. Membership unlocks your Buying Power.
Basic Membership includes an automatic $2,000 in Buying Power, meaning you can only bid up to $2,000 on a lot.
To increase Buying Power, you can either Upgrade to Premier or Add a Deposit.
Upgrade to Premier
Premier Membership is the most popular option for buyers seeking more Buying Power. All that's required is an initial registration fee and a one-time, fully refundable deposit.
Note: Premier benefits last one year. See our Premier Membership FAQs for more pricing and details.
Upgrading to Premier does not expand your eligibility to bid--that depends on licenses and state requirements--but it does allow you to bid on more lots you already qualify for.
Copart will return the Premier deposit upon request, provided all invoices are paid in full. Once refunded, your account reverts to a Basic Membership.
Buying Power beyond $100,000
Premier Members may request approval to bid or win above $100,000 without placing additional deposits.
Email Member.Services@copart.com or call +1-972-391-5400 with your Member ID and the lot number you wish to bid over $100,000 on. Copart will review your profile and purchase history before approving.

Add a Deposit
Basic Members
If you plan to purchase only a few lots a year, adding a deposit is another way to boost Buying Power. Your deposit must equal 10% of your maximum bid.
Example: To place a $3,500 bid, you'll need a $350 deposit.
Premier Members
After the initial Premier deposit, no additional deposits are required.
Deposit details:

Credit card deposits are refunded to the original card (or via check if closed).
