COPART TEXT MESSAGING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (Terms) govern your use of text message communications sent by or on behalf of Copart Inc. (Copart, we, our, or us). These messages support vehicle related services such as pickup coordination, title processing, seller communication, and account verification.
By clicking a link in a Copart text message or replying to a Copart text message, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Program and Types of Messages
Copart sends text messages to support vehicle ownership, processing, and disposition. These may include:
Service related and transactional messages, such as:
- Vehicle pickup coordination
- Location or availability confirmation
- Requests for documentation or title information
- Updates related to the sale, transfer, inspection, or processing of your vehicle
- Account verification or one-time passcodes (single message per request)
Seller related messages sent on behalf of insurance carriers or other third-party vehicle owners, such as:
- Requests for vehicle access
- Follow up documentation needs
- Status updates required by the seller
Copart does not send promotional marketing messages under this program unless you separately and explicitly opt in for marketing communications.
2. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your transaction and the services required. For one-time passcodes, one message is sent per request.
3. Consent Through Interaction
By clicking a link in a Copart text message or replying in any manner (such as Yes, Available, or providing requested details), you provide express consent to:
- Receive additional transactional or service messages regarding your vehicle
- Receive pickup updates, title coordination instructions, or seller follow up requests
- Permit Copart to relay your responses to the relevant seller or authorized parties involved in the transaction
Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Once opted out, you will no longer receive recurring program messages.

5. Communications Sent on Behalf of Sellers
In certain instances, Copart sends messages as a service provider on behalf of the vehicle’s owner, such as an insurance company. In these situations:
- Messages may originate from Copart but reflect the seller’s request
- Copart may not own or control the vehicle
- Your responses may be shared with the seller or their authorized representatives
6. Use of Information & Privacy
Information collected through text messaging, including your name, contact details, vehicle details, documentation status, and location information, will be:
- Used solely to support pickup, title processing, or the associated transaction
- Shared only with required entities such as sellers, transportation partners, or authorized Copart teams
- Managed according to our Privacy Policy

Copart does not sell your information or use it for marketing without separate, explicit authorization.
7. Security and Responsibility
Copart takes steps to secure its messaging systems. However:
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device
- Do not share sensitive information such as social security numbers or driver license numbers unless you are certain the message is from Copart
- Copart is not responsible for misuse resulting from fraudulent or impersonated messages sent outside official Copart channels
Copart does not require or expect you to notify us if your phone number changes. You are not liable for messages received by a new holder of your previous number.
