Our Global Employees Make a Difference
In 1982, Copart opened its first salvage yard in Vallejo, CA. Now, more than 35 years later, our company has expanded to serve Copart Members residing in over 190 countries across the globe. We have 177 U.S. locations, and are planning to open even more. In addition to expanding across the world, Copart has also grown as a company—amassing 5,392 talented and driven employees who have helped shape the future of the automotive auction industry.
We consider ourselves pioneers in our industry because we’ve had to create the technology to make our vision a reality including our proprietary VB3 auction platform, the Copart Mobile App and more recently the Virtual Queue App. As a result, in the past five years, we have sold more than three million vehicles in FY 2019.
We couldn’t have done this without the help of our global partners—the people who know their countries the best. And to celebrate them, we want to share their successes with you.
Copart Canada
Founded in 2003 due to increased demand in the northern part of North America, Copart Canada quickly accumulated more than 6,000 Copart Members who bid and buy through their nine Canada locations. In the past three years, Copart Canada experienced significant growth:
- Six million website visits
- One million auction joins
- Nine acres of land
- 125 employees
- 6,000 vehicles sold
Copart United Kingdom
In 2007, Copart expanded into the United Kingdom and formed Copart UK. In the past three years, Copart UK has grown to 15 locations and has accumulated more than 300,000 successful membership registrations. Copart UK has some impressive statistics. Check them out below!

Copart Ireland
Copart Ireland works closely with the UK and has grown to one main location in Castledermot and four sub lot locations. In the past three years, Copart Irland had:

- 9,000 buyer registrations
- 5,000 watchlist adds
Copart Germany
Founded in 2016, Copart Germany quickly accumulated 4,300 Copart Members. Copart Germany currently has 12 locations across the country which serve Member from more than 50 counties worldwide. Copart Germany celebrated a lot of major milestones in the 2.5 years, including:
- 5.5 million website visits
- 250,000 auction joins
- 20,000 vehicles sold
Copart Spain
Copart Spain was founded in 2016 and has now expanded to six locations. Averaging about 5,000 vehicles available for bidding each year, Copart Spain services Members from more than 20 other countries. Since October 2017, they've experienced the following:
- One million website visits
- 45,000 auction joins
- 7,000 complete registrations
Copart Finland
In October 2018, Copart acquired Autovahinkokeskus Oy (AVK), a company originally founded in 1966. Shortly after its acquisition, AVK was officially renamed Copart Finland in 2019. Even though it's only been a part of the Copart global family for a relatively short time, their statistics are quite impressive. Since October 2019, Copart Finland has accumulated:
- More than 2,4 million website visits
- 27 locations
- Members from 67 countries
Copart Brazil
Founded in 2012, Copart Brazil currently has 12 locations that feature a special combination of in-person and online auctions. They currently average about 8,000 vehicle auctions every month. Since 2017, Copart Brazil has experienced the following:
- 25 million website visits
- 115 employees
- 208 acres of land
- 150,000 vehicles sold
Copart MEA
In 2012, Copart expanded into the Middle East, setting up its first regional headquarters in Dubai. Since then, Copart MEA has opened three locations in MEA, including locations in Oman and Bahrain. In the last three years, Copart MEA has accumulated:
- Five million website visits
- 65,000 auction joins
- 50,000 complete registrations
