Add a Deposit or Upgrade to Premier

Before you can bid and buy with Copart, you must have Buying Power. Buying Power is the total amount you can bid. As a buyer, you get an automatic $2,000 in Buying Power when you join Copart. This means you can bid on one vehicle up to $2,000.

Basic Members have two options to get more Buying Power:

Deposits and Upgrades are available for Basic Members only. This does not include Bidders under a Broker Account.

Premier Membership is the best choice for most Copart buyers. With Premier, you can join unlimited auctions at once. You also get substantial Buying Power so you can bid on multiple vehicles without needing additional deposits.

All that's required for upgrading your membership is an initial $200 registration fee, a one-time, fully refundable $400 deposit and copies of all current licenses (if applicable).

Upgrading to Premier does not increase your bidding eligibility. Eligibility is determined by your current licenses on file and state requirements.

If you don't upgrade to Premier, your deposit on file with Copart needs to be 10% of your desired bid amount. So if you wish to bid a maximum of $3,500, you would add a deposit of $350 before you bid.

To determine what your current Buying Power is, visit the Member Dashboard and look for the My Buying Power widget.

Deposits are refundable as long as they're currently not applied to open bids or unpaid charges.
