Intro to the Copart Mobile App

The key to Copart’s success are our auctions.

So, we run hundreds of auctions every week. They’re online only. You can join from the computer, and now you can join from the iPad and iPhone.

We have a lot of Buyers who have bought from Copart for over 30 years, and one of the first things they tell us is, “Do things that help me save time, because I'm spending every day of the week bidding and buying from Copart and so every second counts.”

We made this app so easy to use. We kept it simple. When you come into the app, we present you with just the core things that every person wants to do – join auctions, search for vehicles, find the Copart location near you. Download the app, open it up, jump right in. Once you see, you know how it works and the deals are being made, you can register right from within the app. It takes 20 seconds to do it, and then you can get started bidding.

In our app, we give you multiple ways to look at the auctions that we've got. You can look in the traditional list view that just lists out all the auctions happening today. You can look at the calendar view to find out when the auction is and what day of the week it is. Then, we've introduced a new option which is the map view, and it's just a whole new way to look for vehicles. Now, you can search and show the results right on a map. On the website, it takes you like 30 seconds, just to join one of our auctions. In our new mobile app, you're in there within two clicks and it takes you roughly five seconds to get into an auction. Once you're in our auctions, you can jump from one to the next. Let's say I'm bidding on a car in Houston. I can jump to an auction in San Jose. In one second, I’ve travelled 1,200 miles.

Another really cool feature that we integrated in was notifications. So, notifications allow Members to get quick messages when a vehicle they've bid on received a counterbid from the Seller or when their vehicles are coming up for sale. So, if you add it to your Watchlist either on the web or in the mobile app, then you'll get a notification of when that vehicle comes up for auction.

This app connects with our website. We recognize that most of our customers are going to use both, so anything you do on the web is in the app and anything you do on the app ends up on the web.

We give you a lot of different ways to search for vehicles in the new Copart app. You can search using the Vehicle Finder which is your traditional search by year, make, model and additional features. Another way to search are through our Quick Picks. You've got Quick Picks for items like classics and exotics. Just tap on a link and it takes you right to search results. There's even a search field where you can type directly into it and search for anything you want.

Additionally, we know a lot of our Members like to look for vehicles near them, so we've built an icon that lets you search for vehicles nearby. Just tap that, and it'll pull back all the vehicles within 250 miles of your location.

Once you’ve gotten your results, you can sort your search in many ways: year to make to model. And the great part is, once you do that, you can also save your search so you can come back to it later.

The mobile app is giving you the freedom to search for vehicles 24/7 anywhere you want. You can be in a coffee shop. You can be at home. You can be at a restaurant. That's the great thing. You just have to open up the app and you can jump right in.
