How To Upload a Limited Power of Attorney

Last Updated: May 26, 2023

A Limited Power of Attorney saves you hours, dollars and effort because it lets Copart send transferred vehicle titles directly to you. It also lets transporters pick up titles, especially for international Members. Here’s how to put a POA in place.

Login and choose “Account Settings” at the top right, then “Shipping & Documents.”

If you see “No” next to “Power of Attorney” on the first line, tap or click “View Form”.

In states that require notarization, Download, Print & Get the POA Notarized

If you live in one of the states that requires a Limited Power of Attorney to be notarized, you can find notaries at your local bank, lawyer’s office, post office or nearest Copart location.  Next scan the document or take a picture with your phone or other mobile device.

In States that allow eSigning: Choose “eSign Document” then “eSign” when the document opens.
