Adiel Avelar
Adiel Avelar was appointed Managing Director of Copart Brazil in 2011, led the establishment of the company in the country, and continues to grow the regional business. Prior to Copart, Avelar worked for Hertz as Senior Director in the U.S. He also worked for General Motors and Delphi Automotive for more than 10 years in various roles and countries including Brazil, Argentina, France and the United States. Avelar received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial and earned his MBA from Thunderbird in Arizona.
Colin Cordery
Colin Cordery is the managing director of Copart’s Middle East and Africa operations. Following a stint in sales with the aviation industry, Cordery has enjoyed a career in the automotive industry of more than 25 years. His notable positions include seven years with Peugeot occupying several UK Regional Management roles. In 2007, he began working for Al-Futtaim Private Co. LLC, where he held a variety of positions, ending up as Senior Managing Director. He earned a Master of Arts with Honours in French and German from the University of Edinburgh.
Jan Johansson
Jan Johansson has led Copart Finland’s operations, sales and marketing teams as Managing Director since 2019. Johansson has extensive management experience in international sales, operations and marketing. He has held various leadership roles in global management teams, including at Euromaster and Michelin. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the Helsinki School of Business.
Jane Pocock
Jane Pocock was appointed as Managing Director of Copart UK and Ireland in 2019 to lead the business' continuing growth in the region. Pocock brings more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. She was previously CEO of Vans Direct for over 10 years and then helped sell it to Vertu Motors Plc. Her career includes 17 years with The AA in leadership roles in their insurance, membership and roadside assistance businesses in the UK and Europe. She studied at the University of Reading, Henley Business School and the Hult International Business School.
Kai Siersleben
Kai Siersleben joined as the Managing Director of Copart Germany in 2019. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a Managing Director for global technology companies in the motor vehicle claims management industry. Previously, he led several companies - two of them to market leader status in Europe. He works to fully establish Copart in the German automotive market with his innovative spirit, high motivation and vision. He holds an MBA from ESADE Business & Law School.
Santiago Zamit
Santiago Zamit has been Managing Director for Copart Spain since 2015. He has extensive experience as Managing Director in automotive and auction companies such as Manheim and in manufacturers, dealers and rental car companies such as MG, Volkswagen and Autopark. He is an expert in the implementation of multinationals in local markets, illustrated by his experience at Sixt Rent a Car and his work at Infiniti. Zamit earned a Juris Doctorate from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
