People have been mad for motorcycles for nearly 150 years now.
It all started in Germany in 1885 when Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach built the first motorcycle called the Daimler Reitwagen. And it continues today with the motorcycles bought on Copart and CrashedToys.
Whether people bought them for parts or restoration projects, here are the most popular motorcycles we’ve sold in our online auctions in the last year.
Harley Davidson Street Glide
This popular touring bike comes with powerful engines with great low-end torque to get you up to speed quickly and a suspension to give you a smooth ride. They also offer plenty of storage room in saddle bags or compartments. The Street Glide can also be easily modified and customized thanks to plenty of aftermarket options that are widely available.
Harley-Davidson Road Glide
The Road Glide is a close cousin to the Street Glide, but offers more aggressive styling, and the front cowl mounted to the frame rather than the front fork. That way when the handlebars are turned, the whole cowling doesn’t turn with it. The bike is somewhat lighter, so some people find it easier to handle than the Street Glide.
Kawasaki Ninja 400
The Ninja 400 makes a great bike for new riders with its 399cc engine that provides good power and acceleration without being overwhelming. It’s comfortable to ride, easy to use, and comes at an attractive price. The latter makes it a good option for even experienced riders looking for a decent bike that won’t break the bank.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX
The Ninja ZX family of motorcycles are pure racing superbikes. They come with plenty of power, tons of tech, and precise handling for the track or the street. In comes in a range of models including the 6R and 10R. The latter is the top end superbike used by many professional racing teams for their high quality, cutting-edge technology, and high-power performance.
Suzuki GSX-R600
The GSX-R600 offers solid power for a sports bike from its 599cc four-cylinder engine. It can accelerate fast, turn tight corners and stop quickly when needed. It comes with a host of technology to help the rider stay safe and enjoy the trip, including the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector that can adjust engine power to match riding conditions. Overall, it’s a good, balanced multiuse bike.
Honda CBR600RR
The CBR 600RR, like the Ninja ZX, is a true racing bike completely at home on the track and a high performer on the street. It comes with a 599cc inline 4-cylinder engine, ABS brakes, traction control, and the Honda Selectable Torque Control. The HSTC system constantly monitors both wheels and can adjust fuel injection and ignition timing to prevent slips and falls. It’s also renowned for its high revving speed and ear-pleasing engine noise.
